Lucienne Talba
Postdoctoral Fellow
Lucienne Talba is a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Gender and the Economy (GATE) at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. She graduated from the University of Montreal with a Ph.D. in economics. Before starting her doctoral study, she worked for the government in Cameroon as a senior economist. In her dissertation, she has studied the historical determinants of gender roles in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her current research interests lie in better understanding the importance of local culture and context for gender policies, particularly in low-income countries.
