Vania Sembiring is a first-year MBA student at the Rotman School of Management. She has worked as an entrepreneur in the agriculture sector in Indonesia, encountering first-hand obstacles and biases experienced by women working in a male-dominated industry. She is passionate about gaining a deeper understanding of the issue and being part of creating a solution that enables companies to bridge the gender gap and create a more equitable workplace. As a passionate advocate for gender equality, Vania is keen to take on the role of Intern at GATE during her summer. Through this experience, she hopes to leverage her professional and personal expertise further to create a platform to advocate for gender equality and to empower other women to pursue their dreams.
